How AfrikCru collects and uses your personal data, under Rwanda's Law No 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
Who we are
AfrikCru is run by Fosia Ltd, Kigali, Rwanda, the data controller. Contact for anything about your data: infos@fosiarw.com.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, company.
- Your project: brief, texts, logos, photos, videos and other files you send us.
- Orders and payments: what you bought, amounts, invoices. Card and Mobile Money details are handled by the payment providers; we never see or store card numbers.
- Cru Partners: account, links, commissions and payout details.
- Technical data needed to run and protect the site (server logs, security), and, only if you accept, audience measurement and advertising cookies.
Why we use it
- To answer you and prepare a quote (your request).
- To make and deliver your videos and services (the contract).
- To bill and keep accounts (a legal obligation).
- To publish the Cru Story of your video, only after you approve it (your consent).
- To measure the audience and show our ads, only if you accept those cookies (your consent).
- To protect the site against abuse (our legitimate interest).
Who receives it
Only the service providers we need, under contract: web hosting (Hostinger, servers in France, European Union), card payments (Stripe, United States and European Union), Mobile Money payments (Fosia Pay and its payment partners, Africa), messaging (WhatsApp, Meta, United States and European Union). Some of them are outside Rwanda: we only use providers that offer the protection the law requires. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- A request without an order: 12 months after our last exchange.
- Project files: 24 months after delivery, so you can ask for a change or a new format; then deleted.
- Invoices and accounting: as long as Rwandan tax law requires.
- Your cookie choice: 6 months.
- Security logs: kept by our hosting provider only as long as needed to protect the site, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to its use, and withdraw a consent at any time (for cookies: the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page). Write to infos@fosiarw.com; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), Rwanda.
Cookies
The site works without optional cookies. We store your choice in two cookies (fosia_consent and fosia_consent_ads, 6 months). If and when we use them, these load only after you accept: Google Analytics (audience measurement), the fosia_aff cookie that credits the Cru Partner who sent you (30 days) and the Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc, 90 days) to measure our ads. Logged-in users and the shop use the usual WordPress and WooCommerce cookies needed to work.
